Return and repair
Every piece is handcrafted from natural fibres using traditional techniques, so each one is unique. Here is how we look after you, and your piece, after it leaves our studio.
Repair warranty
We repair eligible pieces for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Covered
Damage that happened during shipping, and structural failures from normal wear and tear when the piece has been properly cared for.
Not covered
Damage from mishandling, improper storage such as exposure to sun or moisture, or accidental tearing of the fibres.
Accidental damage
If your piece is accidentally damaged, we may be able to repair it or replace parts for a small fee plus shipping and handling, as long as the natural materials it needs are in stock.

Returns and exchanges
What’s possible depends on where your order was delivered.
International orders
Because of the complexity of international shipping and customs from Mozambique, we don’t accept returns or exchanges on international orders. Please read product descriptions carefully before you buy.
Orders within Mozambique
Exchanges may be considered within 7 days of receipt, if the item is unused, in its original condition and has all its tags attached.
Faulty or incorrect item
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

- We check itOur team reviews your photos and order.
- We put it rightOnce verified, we repair or replace the item at no extra cost to you.
Sending a piece for repair
For approved warranty repairs.
- Get a repair authorisationEmail sales@dathonga.com before sending anything.
- Ship it to our studioYou’re responsible for the cost of sending the piece to us.
- We repair and return itFor valid warranty claims, we cover the repair and the shipping back to you.
Cancellations
We start preparing orders straight away so they reach you quickly. Once your order is placed and payment has reflected in our account, we can’t cancel it or make changes.
